The Burrow- Near Pico, Hiking, Spacious!

Outstanding ski cabin aura with updated comforts. You could really feel the care taken in how clean and abundant the space was, like the beds and towels and house systems. Appreciated thoughtful design details like the outdoor light on a large evergreen that stood sentry over the deck (undulating green boughs in the nighttime snow) or the spotlight for food at the grill (nice indoor kitchen too). Great windows and forest presence from the perimeter treeline. Peeks of ski mountaintops in the distance and bluebirds foraging the forest in the morning. Manageable access road and driveway in our 2-wheel drive car during moderately snowy and slushy conditions (heavy storm and ice would probably be mostly ok but even better in 4-wheel drive). Supportive and caring hosting team. Strong recommend.

We had a great stay at Dan & Holly’s place for a friend group ski trip to Killington. The house was exactly as described, Dan & Holly were responsive to any questions I had, and it’s close to Pico and Killington. The mud room/ski room was great so we could fit all of our skis and equipment in the house without getting the living area dirty. I would highly recommend their place for a weekend of skiing.

We enjoyed the house very much! The house was quiet and very comfortable. The location was great. Only a 15-20 minute drive to Killington.
The host was incredibly thoughtful and left some Vermont goodies as a welcome gift, which was such a nice touch! We also really enjoyed the dining options in both Mendon and Rutland. Overall, a peaceful, convenient, and welcoming spot.

Booked this beautiful home for 3 nights for 7 skiers. A nice discount put it into our price range. Plenty of room for gear, sleep, to gather at the dining table, and to spread out. Kitchen had everything required for meals in. 10-15 min to the slopes and 10-15 the other way to lots of restaurants in Rutland. We will 100% book again on our next trip to Killington/Pico.

The place was a great place to stay for skiing. A lot of space and good amenities. Great choice for a family.
Winter Visits: Only concern is we were unaware snow service comes all the way up to the porch/balcony of the house at 4am in the morning. It was loud and woke/scared some of the guests.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, cozy and just what we needed for a relaxing NYE getaway. The location was close to Killington and most importantly, Dan and Holly were incredibly responsive. We had a total of 8 people with us and we all slept very comfortably, bonus that we were able to bring our sweet golden retriever! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed spot in the Killington area!

Came here for skii trip at Killington Mountain. Great location for 15min drive from town and the mountains. Took good use of the barbecue on the balcony. Overall love the stay and had a great time.
