LOVE this place! Highly recommend it— Walkable to Killington grocery store and nearby restaurants. Short drive to others and Woodstock. Serene green tree views from every window! Ample supply of towels, cups, mugs, flat & dinnerware. Relaxing setup with good lighting, comfy sofas, chairs and beds. Stunning natural wood ceilings, headboards, bunk beds, carefully wall mounted tv’s and custom built-in furniture and trim.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Happy Cub Killington Mountain home for our party of five.
The house website link with information and details is impressive and covers most questions that you may have before or during your stay.
The welcome note, custom playing cards and Vermont maple syrup were a pleasant surprise to have waiting for us upon arrival and were both utilized during our stay.
We too enjoyed the clean and perfectly heated jacuzzi on the balcony.
We hope to return again one day.

We had our crew of electricians stay at Dan & Holly’s home, and overall they had a great experience. The guys really enjoyed the hot tub, and the house had everything they needed during their stay.The only downside was that the listing mentioned there was AC, but unfortunately there was not. The crew ended up sharing a box fan, and since the windows didn’t have screens, they just made the best of it. I didn’t find out about the issue until after they had already checked out, so there wasn’t an opportunity to bring it to Dan & Holly’s attention during the stay, and I truly believe they would have tried to make it right.Dan & Holly were excellent with communication and always responded quickly. Despite the AC issue, we would definitely stay again.

Our group of four adults and a child had an incredible stay! The house truly has something for everyone and was perfectly equipped for our needs. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space, the grill worked perfectly for our lunches, and the jacuzzi was a highlight. It gets properly hot, which made it the perfect retreat even when the weather turned chilly.
Dan and Holly are fantastic, highly responsive hosts. Everything in the home was in excellent working order and the overall experience was seamless. We loved our time here and would definitely stay again next time we are in Vermont!

Awesome amenities and everything was very clean and well kept. Host was responsive and accommodating with flexible check-in/ out. I was able to host friends for an amazing weekend. The beds were so comfortable (firm/ foam) and the sheets were so soft; the rooms were dark and the neighborhood was quiet.

Great spot on a dead end road with lots of privacy (just one other house). Super short drive to Killington. Space is huge with a great entryway for leaving shoes and ski gear.

My first time using an air b+b. Absolutely amazing experience. The hosts were excellent and extremely communicative. The Happy Cub is going to be my only choice for killington. You couldn’t ask for anything more and the location is the best. Smack dab in the middle of everything you need. Home was clean warm and comfortable for 7 people 8 easy if you need. Hot tub clean and hot. Bedrooms are large with big beds for all guests. Really a great place for a traditional yearly trip. Thanks again Dan and Holly. Just like the pictures in description.

The house is located conveniently near the skiing area. Walking distance to grocery and local shops. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Well maintained, welcoming house with lots of natural sunlight. Lovely and spacious place for a big group to dine and hang out. We were in town for ski demo and it was myself and 4 co-workers. This house was perfect for us! There were more than enough beds which were comfortable with very nice sheets and blankets. The layout was nice having 2 floors for the girls upstairs and boys downstairs. We loved the game room and big table was spacious for our Après needs. The kitchen was well equipped, and the hot tub was a delight after skiing all day. This is a great rental and I highly recommend it!

Great place for our snowboard trip with a group of 8! The house was comfortable and well located, with a great room for taking ski gear on and off. The hot tub was perfect after a day on the mountain and it was fantastic having sheets and towels provided. Would definitely stay again.

We just stayed, a group of six of us, for two nights to ski at Killington prior to Christmas. The home was exactly as described. I especially like the two separate living areas. Bed space was perfect. Hot tub was fantastic, location was great less than 10 minutes door-to-door. Communication was exceptional. It snowed while we were there a good 5 to 6 inches. We were plowed out in the morning early enough that one car that was leaving at 8 AM was able to get out easily. They also shoveled the deck cleaned off the hot tub, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend hosts were unbelievably communicative and helpful when needed although really there was very little that was needed. I personally hate to be nickel and dime about a hot tub when people rent with a hot tub and then charge a fee to turn it on. The hot tub was on and hot and ready to go when we got back from a day of skiing. I would highly recommend.

Full disclosure, this was my first time using a VRBO and all I can say is that the bar has been set pretty high for the future. The house is in good shape and was neat and clean on arrival and even had some Vermont goodies left for us by the host. My wife and I enjoyed having a quiet base of operations for our 5 nights in Killington. The property is quiet and secluded up a long stone/rock drive just off the main road in Killington. Pictures are accurate and the house is clean and comfortable. hosts were great and when I reached out with a few very (VERY) minor issues they were resolved immediately. Communication was quick and concise. While it was only my wife and I this property has plenty of rooms for more people. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils and there are plenty of dining, shopping, hiking in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning int he future.

I would give them 10 stars if I could! The house is excellent and smelled wonderfully clean when we walked in. We weren’t able to make it until after midnight because we were driving in from my son’s hockey tournament. Dan & Holly were kind and accommodating. The house itself is very private and is laid out well for a big family or group of people. The beds are high quality and comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied, the showers have great water pressure and the soap/shampoo is all of good quality. We had a small hiccup and Dan & Holly bent over backwards to fix it. I’ve already recommended them to friends we have staying in the area this fall. Great experience, would definitely stay here again!

The kids liked the place a lot because it had some perks like an arcade game, air-hockey, and a hot tub. The space was sufficient. I especially like that there are 8 individual beds, and most are not tiny (one is a king). Some places that sleep 8 require shared beds, but not this one. We were a group of friends, so it was more comfortable not to share beds.
The hosts were welcoming and available.
We got a great price, so it was easy to be pleased. The building itself is not upscale, but the furnishing and bathrooms are comfortable.
We were there for skiing. This is a good location. It's at the end of a little residential street right next to everything.

We stayed at the Happy Cub for our first family ski trip and it was the perfect place to do so! Close to the mountain resort, restaurants and little market (that has anything you need). The cabin was more spacious than we anticipated (larger than pictures suggest), clean and cozy. The place heated up quickly, and the beds were surprisingly very comfortable! The kids loved the arcade game downstairs as well. We also liked the space and benches in the mud room which made it easy to get ready and remove the ski gear. We also used the hot tub every evening. Overall it was even better than we expected and lived up to its name “happy cub” which the kids were excited to go back to and rest after hard day of skiing.

My girlfriend (now fiancé on this trip!) and I had an absolute blast staying here. This place is huge and was very clean. The hot tub was clean, every sheet and towel was clean, there wasn’t even a crumb on the floor. I’d recommend this place to anyone, we already wanted to plan a trip back. Although it was just 2 of us, you can fit a lot of people with all the beds and space they provide. Felt very safe and comfortable here too.

This Airbnb was perfect for our family and friends. The location was perfect, just a short drive to mountain, great restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and cozy. The house was cozy warm and welcoming when we arrived. The owners left us treats and coffee too. There was plenty of room for our large group and the dinning area and hot tub were large as well. The foyer has a huge bench area to remove and store gear. The kitchen has everything you need to make home cooked meals. In a quiet location but close to everything Killington has to offer!

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations! Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice! The hot tub was a big plus for us - heated and ready to go when we arrived - and the outside firepit was wonderful. It rained during the night on Sunday, and fresh, dry wood was delivered the next morning. We had a lovely fire Monday and even Tuesday night during a brief drizzle. We plan to return!

Lovely place for kids to play and adults to relax.. or also get work done! There was an awesome workspace and I was able to bring art to work on knowing the kids were fully entertained just by the amenities provided! Lots of space.. so if traveling with multiple families, you won’t worry about being in each others way. Super convenient location for any dining swimming groceries or necessities that were forgotten only a few minutes down the road but also still having a space that felt secluded. The Ugg blanket was a wonderful touch and having Roku available made movies music and tv easy to use! The hot tub was super clean and there were lotsa towels conveniently located by the deck door! Coffee and tea were also provided! Beautiful space to get out of the city and breathe.

The cabin was cozy, and very large. The location was just off the main road in Killington, but very quiet and private.
The place was clean, beds were made, and they provided an abundance of towels.
The hot tub was clean and enjoyable.
There were kids and adult books, plus games too.
The downstairs has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a full living room, and entrance room. The upper floor has 2 more bedrooms, a bathroom with a full shower, and a huge kitchen and attached living room. Off the kitchen is a porch with the hot tub, grill, and electric fire pot.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Happy Cub was my first experience personally booking an Airbnb and it couldn't have gone smoother. Holly and Dan were super responsive and laid out what I needed to know at each step very clearly. The place matched the pictures and had all of the amenities noted in the description. The coffee they left as a check in gift was great. The location is peaceful and private but still pretty easy to navigate and you can even walk into town if you don't mind a short trek. Although there is another house pretty close by on the property, the houses are situated in a way that maximizes privacy. It was a relaxing few days and we didn't want for anything during our stay.

My husband, son and our friends enjoyed staying at this home. We all slept comfortably and had all of the necessary amenities. Hosts were very proactive and responsive. Appreciated the added touch they provided with the Vermont Maple syrup for our pancakes (I had actually forgot to bring syrup) and coffee. The group was able to enjoy the hot tub each night after a long day of skiing! Will definitely look to stay here again!

Great location for accessing everything on Killington. Walkable distance to restaurants and a quick drive to the mountain. The house itself was spacious and the hot tub worked great. We were here for the March 23rd snow storm, the plows came by regularly and we never felt like we were snowed in.

This property was the perfect place to stay during a weekend ski competition. It’s very close to the lodge, shopping and restaurants. The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to prep meals for all. And the hot tub and games kept everyone entertained while not skiing. Two families with preteen kids fit in well. We would love to stay again!

This place is great - there is enough room so that everyone could get together for meals, yet could retreat to your own space for quiet time. We used this home as base camp for our NOBO thru Appalachian Trail hikers. They slack packed for the 3 rainy days when we were there. The downstairs was perfect for getting off the wet gear and muddy boots. Plenty of places to sit and hang stuff up to dry. They appreciated the abundance of towels, a hot shower, and a comfy warm bed. They all commented it got them thru those tough wet trail days and allowed them to recover before tackling the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Smart TV came in handy for movie nights as well as casting from phones to see everyone's pictures and videos.

A really quiet place that’s at the end of a road but centrally located for restaurants and stores. The mud room was great for storing our bikes. Dan and holly are very responsive and we’re accommodating of our requests. It’s our second place we’ve rented from them and for good reason. Staying in Killington, VT is alway a great time. Our stay at HappyBear was an amazing time. No need to get bored there is plenty to do. Probably the best electric stove I have ever used. The hot tub is great, the beds are very comfortable, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We enjoyed ourselves so much we extended our stay 17 days and plan to do so again! I highly recommend staying at any of Holly and Dans properties. They are extremely detailed with their homes and amazing hosts. Very responsive and always asking if we need anything. The maple popcorn and treats add to their hospitality, you can absolutely tell they want you to enjoy your time and make your self at home.

Dan and Holly's place was amazing! Our group regularly spends weekends at Killington throughout the season and everyone agreed that this was top of the list as one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed at. The place was huge with plenty of space for everyone to sleep and hang out. They really went out of their way to add a lot of great touches like great coffee and extra hot tub towels. The beds were so incredibly comfortable it was hard to get up and to the mountain in the morning! The location was perfect, just minutes from basically everything. The place was sparklingly clean as well. We can't wait to come back next season!

Every year [for the past 5 years] we come to Killington, VT [we drive up from Delaware] for my brother's birthday🥳. This is our first AirBnB while at the Beast of the East. 🏠
D&H left us a personalized "Welcome Gift" 🎁 which was super cool to receive upon arrival. The house layout was perfect for 8 guys from Delaware lol. We all fit comfortably!
Every morning we cooked 🍳 breakfast in the spacious kitchen. Every night we relaxed in the Hot-Tub, played the Arcade Games and Air Hockey.
WE highly recommend staying here and we'll [all 8 of us] will be back in February 2024!!!! 🏂⛷️

We rented this ski house for Christmas and all was perfect. The hosts were in touch ahead of our travel as the weather was impacting the Killington area. When we arrived, there was a welcoming basket. The place is very spacious and comfortable. The hosts responded immediately throughout our stay. All in all it was perfect. We highly recommend!

It was a memorable Thanksgiving with our family at this great Airbnb. The home is cozy, quaint, super clean, and there's so much to do between the games and the hot tub! The location is unbeatable if you want to be near the action but have some peace and quiet. We are a family of cooks and wish we had brought our own knives as most/all were a bit dull. The hot tub wasn't working halfway through our stay but the owners got their service team on it within the hour and it was promptly fixed (super nice guy too!) We thought we had just gotten lucky to find any cabin on such short notice, but Dan and Hollys place ended up being better and more beautiful than we could have hoped for. The location was easily accessible and very close to town where there is anything you could need during the stay. The cabin was in immaculate condition and very well taken care of, the pictures are spot on as well as them providing everything we could need during our stay! We will definitely be booking another stay here in the future as we did not feel we got enough time to truly enjoy the cabin and all it has to offer, let alone what the surrounding area does as well.

Fabulous location! Just minutes to the mountain and restaurants. Everything was extremely clean and the hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of riding. There are plenty of blankets, pillows and towels provided. The arcade games and air hockey make for great family fun. The set up is excellent with enough rooms and beds for multiple families. Great property for Killington. Everything you read is accurate and the hosts and ridiculously fast at communicating before, during, and after your stay. Proximity to restaurants, bars, and mountain is fantastic. I don’t think I’ll ever rent a ski house again without a hot tub, we used it everyday and it was a great asset to the house!

The house was accurately described in the listing and the layout worked very well for us. Hard to beat the convenience of the location - close to resort base, shops and restaurants. Hosts were on top of every detail - including high-end linens and timely communication. They quickly reacted to a power outage and immediately let us know that they were aware of the situation and had already been working with the power company. Issue resolved without any impact to our stay. Hope to come back soon!

Cute, newly renovated place. Hot tub was heated upon arrival, HUGE Roku TV, treats + personalized handwritten note left by host, brand new everything, super comfy bedrooms/blankets, easy keypad check-in, plenty of silverware and cooking utensils, fantastic location, etc. It snowed 11 inches and someone even came by to shovel the driveway and deck. Communication was top notch every step of the way. Highly recommend!
