This four-bedroom, two-bath split-level retreat offers a wood-burning fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, private sauna, two living areas, and a large deck — the perfect blend of mid-century design and mountain comfort. Welcome to Halcyon House — a rare opportunity to stay in a true piece of architectural history in the mountains of Killington. Built in 1969, this original Deck House is a beautifully preserved example of a movement that celebrated nature, craftsmanship, and modern living. Designed by noted American architect Carl Koch, the home was created to connect seamlessly with its natural surroundings — and it still does. Perched in the Green Mountains, Halcyon House features soaring wood ceilings, expansive glass walls, and panoramic mountain views that change beautifully with every season. Natural wood finishes and an open, flowing layout give the home a warm mid-century character that feels both timeless and inviting. A large deck extends the living space outdoors, offering front-row seats to snowy winter landscapes, vibrant fall foliage, and peaceful summer greenery. Inside, the split-level layout provides the perfect balance of gathering space and privacy. Upstairs, you’ll find: • A fully stocked kitchen • Main living area with wood-burning fireplace • Two bedrooms • One full bath Downstairs, the home opens into: • A second living room • Private sauna for post-ski relaxation • Two additional bedrooms • Second full bath Whether you're unwinding fireside after a long ski day, hosting movie night, relaxing in the sauna, or simply soaking in the views through the glass walls, Halcyon House offers something truly special. For design lovers, mountain adventurers, and anyone seeking a home with soul, this Deck House is more than a place to stay — it’s a thoughtfully crafted 1960s modern retreat with views that never get old. ------------------------------ ## Reviews ### (5/5 stars) We loved our stay here! Such a cool house in a beautiful setting. Great location - close to restaurants, convince stores, and right by Killington Mountain. The house has plenty of space and parking for large families and is close enough to pop into Plymouth or Woodstock or hop on 100. We would love to come back here again. - Taylor Posted on 10/11/2026 ### (5/5 stars) Wonderful location, private with a short drive to killington resort and several restaurants! - Brenna Posted on 9/20/2026 ### (5/5 stars) Responsive hosts lovely home!!!
