Dan and Holly have done a great job maintaining the property. The home was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed and then some. It’s also very conveniently located and is only a 10 minute drive from Killington mountain’s ski lodges. Dan and Holly were very accommodating and responsive, and were proactive in their communication. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend this home for your stay.

Our group had a wonderful stay at Dan & Holly’s place! Perfect spot for a ski trip to Killington. Less than 10 minutes to the mountain and within range of the Barrel Rider for a free taxi to nightlife in the area! The house was well stocked with whatever we needed and the hot tub was great after a long day of skiing.
Dan and Holly were very responsive at every step of the trip. We had one issue with a smoke alarm and they had someone over within minutes to resolve it. I would highly recommend staying here and will probably be returning in the future!

This was by far one of my best Airbnb experiences to date! Dan and Holly were super responsive about all the little things we needed help with! Great airbnb for the location, super close to the slopes and nearby restaurants. Only downside was it’s 20 mins from a large grocery store, but there are deli markets and restaurants nearby instead.

There are a lot of great things about this house. Starting with what felt most important for us which was its proximity to the mountain. You just can’t beat having a quick drive on an early morning. The beds were comfortable and clean. We really appreciated using the games and hot tub which also felt clean. Overall we had an enjoyable stay here and I think with a few upgrades it’s certainly somewhere we’d stay again!

We stayed at this charming Vermont cabin with a group of 8. Dan & Holly were very communicative, responsive, and accommodating, welcoming with a cute gift basket and allowed us a 30-minute late checkout, which we appreciated.
However, the home itself needs noticeable TLC. A kitchen drawer knob fell off, kitchen trash can pedal was broken, accessory pillows were dirty, TV cabling was messy, grout in the bathrooms was dirty, fixtures were dated with low pressure, and there was hair throughout the house. Overall, the property would greatly benefit from a deep clean. Glass cups were cloudy with heavy hard-water scaling, and the utensils and kitchenware felt worn, cheap and unclean upon arrival. For EV drivers, note that the Tesla charger is limited to 16 amps/240V, requiring 24+ hours to charge a car that would normally take about 6 hours. Lastly, the 10:00 AM checkout time is very inconvenient for a large group, barely allowing time to pack cars, eat breakfast, and clean.

We had our family of 6, 4 teenagers and 2 adults stay, there was plenty of room for them to spread out and have their own space as well as cozy enough to force them to gather and spend family time together. Hosts were super responsive, snow plow came after it snowed the next day, very nice and courteous service. Bed and linens were clean and comfortable, heat was very strong, hottub was a nice touch and private, instructions were clear and location was great, less than 10 minutes from Killington and from all other restaurants, everything was very comfortable, thank you!

Overall, it was very clean. The hot tub was clean and the house in the room although the microwave was a little dirty, and there were some caulk in the dishwasher. Some of the dishes were also stained, which was not that fresh.

This was such a fantastic trip. This spot had so many fun activities with the pool, hot tub and grill. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. Tons of space to hang out. Easy walk to some local restaurants. Absolute blast and affordable with friends. Def check out next time you’re in Vermont!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay celebrating our daughter’s 13th birthday. We were blown away that not only did they remember but they surprised us with a wonderful birthday display. The place was large just as described but had so many things for our family to come together rather than disappear into separate spaces. From the pool, hot tub, firepit to games…it was perfect! You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but only a short drive to shops, restaurants and activities. Highly recommend, thanks for a memorable stay!

We had a fantastic time staying at Holly and Dan's house! The location was perfect, amenities were in great condition and useful, and the house was clean and tidy.
Would recommend and would stay here again.
It is worth noting, bedroom 5 with three twin beds has a compact spiral staircase to get to it, does not have a door so privacy is limited, and would not recommend adults to sleep on these three twin beds.
Otherwise, the house was great, thank you for having us.

Country Bear was a beautiful, cozy, comfortable home away from home for our family to spend New Year's Eve! The home was well equipped to support our family, with a crib, pack and play and a high chair. We had a great time at Daniel and Holly’s home! The place was clean and well stocked; the only glitch was that we were missing a dish sponge, but we were sent one once we brought it up to the hosts. There was a good amount of cookware to make meals for 12, as well as a clean and working oven, stove, and microwave. The house itself was the perfect layout for my group, with two different living rooms that gave us space to spread out without feeling like we were in another house altogether but allowed us to feel like we weren’t right on top of each other. The hot tub was a lovely plus! Overall, great hosts, and a beautiful, clean, centrally located home. We would absolutely come to stay again!

We stayed here as a group while visiting for a weekend wedding and the space was perfect! The location is great for visiting restaurants and local hiking trails in a few minutes. The crib in the master is far enough away from the living area that the baby was never disturbed and everyone was able to have their own space.

This is a great place to stay if you have a large family. lots of activities to do inside and outside of the house to keep the kids occupied .
It was also cool to find a super Nintendo with all of the games loaded on it.
The hosts were very responsive in answering our questions upon arrival and figuring out where certain things were located throughout the house.

My group had a lovely summer weekend here where we very much enjoyed the amenities of having a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and screened porch! The kitchen had all the cookware we needed and we appreciated being able to fit all of us at one very large table for dinner! I do wish that there had been a Brita filter available (the tap water just wasn't the best tasting). It should be noted that the loft (with the 3 single beds) is only accessible by a very narrow steep spiral staircase. It felt treacherous without any additional tread on it, as I slipped going down it and fear it could've end much worse.
Finally, I would recommend staying here later in the summer when blackberries are in season because there were soooo many bushes filled with 'em all around the yard (but not ripe yet at the end of June)!

Dan & Hollys country bear home was such a lovely stay for our family’s little get away for the weekend. An absolutely perfect place and wonderful, professional and responsive hosts. We've stayed in a lot of AirBnB's an generally like to experience variety. Of all the places we have stayed, this is the first time we have ever said " We will come back to this house"!. Fully equipped kitchen (finally a rental with sharp knives!); plentiful amenities (lots of towels and linens - all spotlessly clean) and lots of little extras. My wife loved the infrared lights in the bathroom to stay warm after showering after a cold day of skiing. My son loved the games and the old-school Nintendo. I loved how clear all the instructions were and the fabulous, warming gas fireplace in the living room. All in all, this place is a gem and Holly and Dan were absolutely excellent hosts. Cannot recommend enough!

Our extended family was warm and cozy (it was 5 degrees when we arrived) in this lovely country home. Much food was served in-house and the kitchen was up to the task. We spent most of our home time together in the lovely family room (lots of board games and watching videos we had recorded on the slopes during the day). Even our elderly dog was comfy in the space. We'd return again in a heartbeat.

Country Bear was perfect for our family vacation. The kids had a great time sleeping in the loft and the property was great for walking the dogs. The house is well located so getting to the slopes was quick and easy. Restaurants are close by. We spent the last day being lazy around the house and there was plenty for all of us to do. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine-in if that’s more your speed. It was a great all around experience.

Our family of 7 had ample room in this charming and rustic home! Loved the local recommendations by the front door, the local treats and the activities in the game room. The home location offered lots of privacy yet also within minutes of everything in Killington. Holly was always extremely responsive and helpful, it really made us feel comfortable our whole stay. Can’t recommend Country Bear enough!

The location is perfect: it appears very secluded but isn't so far out that it makes you nervous. Very close to everything Killington: As close to the access rd. without being right on it. The exterior is a beautiful home that is well kept with gorgeous grounds, a pool, hot tub, fire pit and front and side decks. The interior would be described as "university professor vacation home" As it is intelligently laid-out and decorated. Great communication with owners. This would be a great vacation spot for any season and any weather.

We had a wonderful summer weekend staying at CountryBear. The property was perfect for a vacation with extended family. The kids had plenty of things to entertain them and there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen and dining room gave plenty of room for our party of 12 to cook and eat. Dan and Holly responded immediately anytime we needed to contact them and their guidebook gave us plenty of info and ideas of things to do in rye area! Thank you so much!

From start to finish, this was easily our best experience with renting a home for a short time. We have been going to the same place for 17 years in North Conway and they have been slipping the last 5-6 years. This place though, they had a hand written note for us, candies, coffee and playing cards all donning the Killington logos. The beds were incredibly comfortable, luxurious pillows and linens. Ample amount of towels, offered laundry on site with soaps in the showers. The kids loved the use of the pool and hot tub. The adults enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and Super Mario games best probably, lol. I was most impressed with the kitchen. The knives were so sharp, the kitchen included all the things we could have possibly needed and more. All of great quality and plenty of them too so we didn't have to worry with the amount of people we had there. The location was primo for activities and meals out and about. Truly a great experience. Dan and Holly do an amazing job and their building manager came promptly to supply us with additional wood within the hour and was so friendly and helpful, gave us the low down of the local places to go eat and hike. Such a great place!

We had a wonderful time at Country Bear. The children loved the loft area and the beautiful backyard while the adults couldn’t get enough of the fluffy linens. This house had space to spread out when needed or for all of us to be together in one room. The location felt private yet close to lots of restaurants. I loved how they had a board of recommendations for the area. We took a short hike to see waterfalls, they were beautiful. They were very responsive with any issues. We’d love to come back again.

A great 3 days with family at The Country Bear. Skiing on Saturday. Easter Sunday sunrise service at The Peak was the highlight. Great house — roomy, great character, super location. This place is EXACTLY what is pictured and MORE!
The pictures are ACCURATE, and hosts are QUICK to RESPOND with any questions we had. It is such a peaceful retreat and we had no issues at all. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are in the area, if not it is well worth the trip. We would love to come back in the summer time , and explore all of the amenities the house has to offer!

Our stay in Killington was truly wonderful! The house is beautiful and totally unique, we loved all the vintage Killington posters. The layout was perfect for our family of 5, with 2 separate living areas and the sleeping porch was so fun for kids! We skied almost every day and the commute to the slopes is so easy - about 7 minutes to K-1 Lodge. Dan & Holly were so responsive and very accommodating when they could be! We had a small problem with getting the hot tub running but the hosts went above and beyond to get it working before we even noticed. Overall, 10/10 location and 10/10 property.. we loved our time here and my mom is already asking me when we can go there next :) Thank you for a wonderful stay!

So close to Killington and such a lovely set of hosts! Daniel and Holly were amazing to communicate with and super responsive (more than I was). They checked in multiple times as there was a lot of snow over the stay (loved it as we were there for skiing!) The hosts were very proactive and did a great job ensuring the property was maintained. The house itself was super cute and a great overall experience. Dan and Holly make sure all the small things you expect from a Vacation home are there such as towels (bath and hot-tub) and all the fixings in the kitchen and around the home. Would definitely return with my group and recommend to friends and family! 5/5

Holly and Dan’s house was great, deceptively spacious, plenty of room outside/inside for a family of 5 to spread out and would be plenty big to add another family. Very clean, attractive gardens, private yet super convenient to shopping, restaurants, hiking, skiing, etc. Well appointed kitchen (good sharp knives! Basics in pantry (spices/oils)). Thoughtful touches like hot tub/pool towels, VT goody welcome basket, local hike/restaurant suggestions, well organized and informative house info website. Pool guys were very friendly and great source for local trail riding and swimming hole recommendations. Holly and Dan were very flexible, accommodating and quick to respond to our inquiries. We’d love to come back again winter or summer!

We stayed at Dan & Holly’s Countrybear property 2 weeks ago and we had such an amazing and memorable experience! The property has everything that we needed, the hot tub is such a SUPER Plus ! ( Very impt to me 🤪😉 ) The house is conveniently located to restaurants and stores, it is super clean ( my family are Healthcare Workers so this is the first thing we talk about ) . The description on the site is accurate . We had a light issue in the shower room upstairs and the Maintenance Team came first thing in the morning and fixed it right away. We are all very satisfied and happy with our stay here and will definitely come back ! 😎⭐️👏🍷🍻😍

Dan & Holly’s house is beautiful! So we had 10 people staying here and it was so much room still. Their den was such a cozy space with plenty of room for all of us to hang out and had an awesome sound system. The pool is cute and super refreshing while grilling out. Also the communication and easy of the whole process is the best I’ve seen so far.

I celebrated a low-key bachelorette here and it was absolute perfection! The hosts were excellent communicators and even gave us a lovely welcome gift upon our arrival! There were so many nice little touches throughout to make our stay comfortable (the linens truly were luxurious!). The hot tub was fantastic, the pool is small but was refreshing to float in on the hot days, and we really enjoyed the screened in porch at night. One of the evenings while making dinner, the blender wasn’t working so we reached out to Dan & Holly and not 15 minutes later, we had a brand new blender delivered to the door. Dinner saved! I can’t recommend this place enough!

This house has it all for the entire family. From the game room to the quality pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers mounted in the tub. Beautiful charming old country home that is well kept!

Dan & Holly's house was totally amazing and perfect for us. The hot tub was a really big bonus of our trip (we didn't even use their pool!), and the house is excellent. We had a group of 12 so their big kitchen and big dining table and many living room sitting areas were great for us. The beds were comfy too. There was also a well-resourced kitchen (with lots of pots, pans, baking sheets, serving utensils/bowls) that made cooking several feasts during our time easy. They also had tons of games and a gas fireplace that made the whole weekend cozy and fun. Would definitely recommend staying here and will keep it on our list of places to stay again!

The only reason I am hesitating to give a 5-star rating is because the moment people find out about this house it will be overbooked and I want to come back soon. In reality it deserves 6 stars.
The house is a perfect combination of the old and new. It has a beautiful authentic Vermont charm, but with all the needs of the 21 century, such as fast internet, hot-tub, properly heated house and grill.
Our children had a blast with all the board games, air hockey and comfy couch around the TV.
Perfect location- the house is located 5 minutes from Killington Mt.
Holly and Dan were super quick with any inquiry or request.
In short - this house is amazing!

This was the perfect place for a group ski trip to Killington. It's super convenient for driving to the mountain: just a 5 minute, almost perfectly straight drive. Between it and Killington are a dozen restaurants and two markets, so it's also easy for stocking up post-ski. There is a gas fireplace and separate furnace, both of which are quite cozy, and the hot tub can't be beat for some post-ski recovery! There's also a ton of comfortable space. I hope to stay there again next year!

We enjoyed our gateway in this house! Very clean , bright , fully equipped, big and comfortable house. It is only 5 minutes drive to the Killington resort, close to the rentals , restaurants, bowling. Dan and Holly were in touch all the time , in case we needed something. Truly recommend!

If you are looking to enjoy a stay in the Killington Vermont area, this house is perfect for that. Located less than 10 min from the mountain and minutes away from bars, restaurants and markets, this home allows for easy access to a good time outside of the house. As far as the house is concerned, it is very spacious, clean, there are lots of things to do; including playing their numerous board games, foosball, vegetate in front of the tv and watch movies and shows, enjoy the heat from one of the two fireplaces while enjoying company or a great book, or unwinding and relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. We were able to enjoy all of the amenities of the house while up for my wife’s birthday, which she considered to be one of her best birthdays ever. The host responded quickly to any questions and checked on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect, which it was. We can’t wait to return for our next trip. Thanks again for making this trip special for my family.

You should definitely choose here to stay!! Whoever gets to sleep in the king size room is going to love it! It was so comfortable and there is a warming light in the bathroom! The showers were awesome and nice and hot! We had lots of options of where to sit and hangout together, kitchen island, dining room table, fireplace area or television room! Everything you need is here and the home is a lot of fun to enjoy because it just keeps going and is very clean! We had a great timing!
