Such great access to Killington resort, and a beautiful and spacious home. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the living space. More than enough beds for our group of 6. It's a bit of a bumpy drive up the road to get to the house, so be careful of the potholes. Other than that, was super easy to check ourselves in and we loved the space.

We stayed here in April 2026 and we went skiing at Killington. Dan & Holly’s place had clean and comfortable beds and the hot tub was a welcome aprés ski treat. The hosts were quick and thoughtful when responding to messages.
One thing to note when looking at places in this area… if you’re planning to ski, then I would recommend having a car. This house is walkable to the access road, but it would be a long and arduous walk in ski boots and carrying ski gear. There is a shuttle that goes up and down the access road, so if you were truly a two or three minute walk from the access road, then the shuttle would be convenient. Otherwise, I would plan to have a car.

My family had a wonderful stay at Bearvaria! We appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket with VT goodies from the hosts. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies if you wanted to eat in, or you could take advantage of the many restaurants minutes down the road. It was a quick drive to the mountain in the morning. The location was great. Private, yet close to everything! We also loved the hot tub at the end of the day. We would definitely stay here again.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at Holly & Dan’s beautiful home! We loved being a short drive to both Pico and Killington and being able to walk to bars/restaurants since it was warm out this weekend. The hosts provided enough towels for each guest to shower AND go in the hot tub which was very appreciated. The beds were super comfy, the TV was easily hooked up to AirPlay, and the gondola outside was an adorable touch to our ski weekend! We will definitely save this Airbnb for future bookings, thanks Holly & Dan!!

I stayed here with some friends for a ski trip, the location is great very close to Killington and and the town’s shops/restaurants, while also a quiet spot in a group of similar vacation homes tucked into a wooded area. I’d recommend 4WD if you’re visiting in the winter. The house is well set up and you won’t find many similar ones with as many beds as here. A hot tub soak after a long ski is the best!

I booked Dan & Holly’s place for my daughter and new son-in-law last minute for a short honeymoon away. They loved it and were able to relax after their large wedding festivities. My daughter said the place was immaculate and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Dan & Holly were so accommodating and wonderful even leaving them a small gift of maple syrup. The location, while very good was not the location that we had in mind.

We stayed here for a relaxing bachelorette trip. The house had everything we were looking for; a hot tub, fire pit, and nice areas inside to hang out and spend quality time together. We visited Rutland Vermont which is a nice town only ~20 minutes away. Dan and Holly were very great hosts, and were helpful when we had internet connectivity issues. I personally loved it. It was an inspectation and nice relaxation for me. You're not too close to a neighbor. You have a beautiful hot tub. You have a little video game room that me and my son definitely used and played with. It was very fun. It wasn't far from a lot of hiking places that we like to do. There was good restaurants down the road. Overall my stay is hundred over 100. They answered my questions. If I had any concerns ASAP I had no issue. I just love it and I'll definitely be back again that's for sure!!!

Location was beautiful, fantastic little ski cabin with plenty of beds. The place and deck were bigger than the pictures led us to believe. Hot tub was relatively new and so good after a day of skiing. Weber grill was clean and well kept. Local goodies and personal welcome was a very nice touch. We would definitely recommend the place and the hosts and look forward to renting from them again!

For a group of (8), this place was plenty big. There was adequate seating in both the living room and the dining room and you never felt on top of one another.
The hot tub was perfect for relaxation and they supplied towels, separate from the bath towels which is always appreciated.
You could walk down to the restaurants, but it is 15-20 min or a quick car ride. Location overall is perfect.
Hosts kept in touch and were very responsive. I plan to book one of their homes again in the future!

Dan and Holly’s home was exactly as it looks in the photos and the location is excellent. We had 4 guys for a long weekend of spring skiing. Getting to the slopes was easy and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Dan and Holly also provided easy check in instructions. Three of the four bedrooms have beds sized well for adults (full, queen, or king). One room has twin beds that are best suited for children. The common area is well-sized for up to 6 adults.

This house was such a good pick for our family! We came up for a weekend in October to hike, hangout outside and unplug and this was the perfect getaway. The hot tub was the absolute highlight of this home! Holly & Dan were also extremely accommodating and responsive which we really appreciated. Our toaster wasn’t working properly and within the hour, they had brought us a brand new toaster. The house is a little older and has a rustic homey feel to it. The privacy was very nice and we got to enjoy the big backyard! We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you again Dan & Holly!

First time trying Airbnb. My kids already want to go back. I’m from the Rutland area but moved to South Carolina. I needed lodging for my family for a funeral. Knowing that Rutland has turned the hotels into homeless shelters, we wanted a safe and private accommodation. Hotel services have gone downhill since the pandemic and inflation has caused prices to skyrocket so we wanted something new.
The clever name caught my attention and we loved the theme, with many thoughtful little touchs. BearVaria is a memorable, cozy, rustic setting with a great kitchen for cooking. Gas stove and grill, host provided spices, cooking spray and plastic wrap. Also had nicer cookware and a slow cooker. Cleaner than most hotels and much more quiet and comfortable. The environment is pristine. My wife and kids got to see a bear. My children enjoyed the hiking and cold brooks nearby. The drive into Rutland for shopping and visiting family was easy.
Minor maintenance issues were promptly resolved.

Dan and Holly are excellent hosts to say the least! Their check in/out instructions were easy to follow and more than adequately detailed. Anytime we were unsure of anything at the unit the answer was easily found on their app. They communicated with us every step of the way and were very responsive when we reached out to them. We arrived right after they got a bunch of snow and left just before the rain so it made the perfect conditions for an awesome winter retreat. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a quiet time on the mountain while still being close to a plethora of awesome restaurants and having some of the east coats most prestigious mountains all within a few miles. Book with Dan and Holly and you will certainly not be disappointed. I will certainly be back.

Dan & Holly are extremely responsive. The home was great and as expected. Any minor issue was dealt with instantly. I only wish the pac man machine was full sized... my knees got a bit red after my 70th game of Galaxian. That said, I could have grabbed a chair from downstairs, but was too lazy and probably shouldn't have played quite that much but couldn't resist. ;). My point is you'll be quite happy in this accommodation.

We in decided to have a short break from New York early February and Vermont seemed like a perfect place. Upon extensive search for a suitable accommodation for a group of 7, we came across Dan & Holly’s lovely house. It looked perfect on the website and even more beautiful when we arrived. The house was spotless! Right from the start we felt right at home, and we were touched with a gift tray waiting for us in the living room. Clean, spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Location is private and quiet, surrounding is stunning. Kitchen is spacious and bedrooms very comfortable. And our favorite feature was a hot jacuzzi out on the front deck! Naturally, we spent a lot of time in it. We would certainly recommend Dan & Holly’s AirBnB to families, friends and anyone wanting to have a great and relaxing time with so much to do in the house and in the vicinity, from skiing and snowboarding, tubing, snowmobile tours, site seeing and plenty more. Thank you Dan & Holly, we had the best time!

We loved our time here! Love the open concept, calls for a lot of laughs when the kids are being silly upstairs and the rest of the party is watching tv. Everything you could possibly need is provided to you and the market is around the corner. We will definitely stay again!

My family and I had a great stay at Dan and Holly’s. Perfectly situated near Killington mountain and nearby restaurants for an ideal ski weekend stay. Very spacious where we all had our own privacy but also a common place to lounge and have meals at the house. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic stay. Perfect for families- our boys (6 and 10) loved the gaming nook and choosing what bed to was theirs.
When the controllers for the Nintendo didn’t work we let Dan & Holly know and within actual minutes we had two new controllers and two VERY happy little boys (which on a mini getaway is crucial!)
Had everything we needed, massive tv, VERY comfy beds. Fans in each room! LOVED the individual heat settings for the rooms. Kitchen was stocked. Hot tub was a delight. More than enough towels for shower and hot tub. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Very thoughtful VT gifts upon arrival. Hosts who care. We’d absolutely stay again.

I rented this home for my birthday getaway. This home was comfortable and peaceful. It was equipped with everything we needed for a rainy weekend in. The children enjoyed the many options of games and things to do in and outside of the home and the hot tub was the perfect addition. I would stay here again, my friends and family enjoyed our stay.

Dan and Holly recommended restaurants, activities, and hiking trails that we could do whilst there, which was amazing. We were greeted with a housewarming gift of all of Vermont's famous treats! The home was stocked with all essentials from cooking supplies to shower essentials and plenty of clean towels! The hot tub was perfect to wind down each night, accompanied by the grill and deck furniture, we had a beautiful dinner each night! The large TV was just the perfect amount of entertainment and we enjoyed the game system and arcade games too!
We will definitely be staying at the dancing bears sometime soon!! We had the most relaxing stay away from the city buzz!!

My 4 girlfriends and I spent 3 days at Bearvaria and very much enjoyed it. It wqas cozy. Owners were very quick to respond to any concerns. Loved the kitchen - great for lots of cooks working together. Very clean bathrooms and bedrooms appreciated! Hot tub was great. Plenty of supplies (t paper, paper towels, trash bags). We would suggest a few things -- handrail at the hot tub steps, lighter for the fire pit, maybe some printed guidelines to be on property, as accessing guidebook online was not easy. We had a problem lighting the gas stove (for heat) and the online guide showed a tiny picture that we were not able to easily enlarge and read. Also, maybe remove a leaf in the table, as several times we got up to go into the kitchen and got stuck in the side with the bar that sticks out. We would return. Thank you.

It was a wonderful stay for my family and friends we had a great time.
Lovely place for vacation, my wife was really happy taking her long walks.
Overall I do refer this places for family and friends and we are definitely coming back.
My only suggestion is adding some tv and air conditioning in the rooms.

We really enjoyed the amenities at this property in a very nice secluded part of Killington! Fire pit, hot tub, grill, some disc golf baskets, it really was what we needed for a weekend away mtn biking with the guys. The property is a little older, but well furnished and comfortable beds and towels. Definitely recommend staying here! Also, the hosts were super responsive texting back, usually within 15 minutes for any questions. They were extremely accommodating with an early check in and a late checkout.

Dan and Holly are exceptional hosts. They set the bar high and check every box. This was the most seamless air bnb experience I have ever had. We had a question about working the hot tub at night on New Year’s Day and they resolved it in less than an hour. Also the location is unbeatable. Close to all restaurants, bars and the slopes. 10/10 recommend this property and these hosts!

I rented this home because my daughter was getting married at the Grand Killington. I needed a kitchen to cook in because I was making all of the desserts. Everything was GREAT! The microwave didn’t work and they brought another one within 30 minutes! That was the only issue we had. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this home or any others one that Dan and Holly have. They really care about their properties! I give them a PERFECT 10!! Dan was so patient with me because I was so nervous but he was awesome! This was the biggest weekend of our lives because our daughters wedding. This home was clean and beautifully decorated. As soon as we walked in my stress level went down. The pictures look exactly what the house looks like. Thank you so much Dan and Holly for letting us rent your beautiful home!

what can I say...this was absolutely one of the best airbnbs in Vermont! look no further and book this place ASAP! not only is this place local to all lakes and attractions but Dan and Holly were the best hosts ever! the house is spacious and very clean and has all the amenities you need but the hot tub was splendid after a long day of hiking and swimming. moreover, the SHEETS and COMFORTERS were hotel grade!! we slept so well! all I can say is do not hesitate to book this airbnb! you will not regret it!

We had a wonderful stay at BearVaria--complete with a backyard visit from a bear while we were relaxing indoors! Dan and Holly are excellent hosts and the space was very comfortable for two families. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard, patio, hot tub, and fire pit. The mattresses are firm, the kitchen is large, the couches are inviting, and you can't help but be charmed by the space. We highly recommend it!

Stayed here with a group for 4 days and 3 nights and offered plenty of space. The house was very close to everything in town and just a short ride to the mountain. Having items provided such as laundry detergent and towels made the stay very convenient. The host kept communication easy and was very welcoming.

Dan & Holly and their lovely home are amazing! We felt welcomed from the moment we set foot into their sweet home. They had a basket of treats waiting for us. Everything was super clean and convenient. This is the perfect stay for a large group of friends or family. The location and the view are phenomenal. It’s close to practically everything. Great house in perfect location near slopes and restaurants. House was very clean and had a special charm. Kitchen was huge and had everything needed for apre ski dinners. Hot tub was brand new and very clean. Aaron was very responsive when we needed a few minor adjustments, and he even helped us shovel out from 12 + inches of snow from the night before. I would highly recommend this place and my children and are hoping to return next year!

Great quite location near restaurants and 5 mins from the slopes. The kids loved the little arcade area and the hot tub was great for after skiing. Furniture was a little outdated but met our needs for a fun family vacation

Amazing Killington retreat! House was clean and in a great location in the heart of Killington. 4 couples fit comfortably. The hosts left us treats and were super accommodating with letting us stay an extra night. 10/10 recommend
